#81 Not So Small News

If you happen to read my other blog All ForEver After, then you know that alas, my big news is not that I am running away to join the circus.

Although this photo makes me seriously consider it?

Back to topic & it's been pretty quiet on here lately as I have been running around like a headless chooken, trying to get organised for five weeks solo overseas as well as packing up the house so that in my absence my little family can relocate to Adelaide, South Australia!
Stressful & exciting all at once? Check!

As a result of these happenings I'll be a wee bit disappeared for about 6 weeks, possibly longer if it takes time to get settled in & back online on the other side...
I really hope you'll still be here when I get back!

#57 Wooden Memory Games & More

Argh! These memory game sets from apple n amos! Love!!!
They come in 12 or 20 piece sets & are sealed using beeswax & olive oil, they come packaged in a canvas bag with a ribbon closure.
The alphabet set is for practicing making words, such a fabulous idea for fun learning isn't it?
They are made by a super talented stay at home mumma to a 3 year old & range in price from just $10 - $ 24, one of the many benefits of buying directly from the source hey?

#52 Sew Liberated

For a while now I've been a follower of Meg McElwee's blog Sew Liberated, I check in every now & then to dream of having talent such as hers & resolve to buy one of her books & give it a go! I do need to stop waiting for my local fabric store to get in more copies & just order it via her website.
This is the pattern that took me to Sew Liberated in the beginning & made me an instant fan, the sweet pea pilot cap modeled by her very cute first-born Finn.

Since then I've fallen in love with the huck finn hat...

this oh so cute apron...

this very comfy looking mei tai baby carrier...

This embroidered placemat & these fabric number cards. Sweet much?

Those things & a billion others. Plus, I'm just in awe of her really. Once you've seen her blog you'll understand why!
Meg's original book of 20 sewing projects is called Sew Liberated & signed copies from her website cost $21.95. Now I'm no maths genius, but I'm fairly certain that means that you would be paying just over $1 per marvelous pattern?
The second book Growing Up Sew Liberated is due out on June 14th & costs a whole $1 more than the first... That's enough maths for me for one day though.

I want that teepee....
