#79 Portable Baby Chair

About a year ago a friend of mine bought the Little Beetle portable baby chair, a fabric chair that slips over most chairs (except for those that are very high backed), fastening securely at the back. I had never seen one before but quickly wished I had, it's such a handy little thing.
Great for holidays, visiting friends & family, as well as for cafes & restaurants. When you aren't using it it folds into it's own pocket & fits easily into your bag, it only weighs 160 grams so it's not like your lugging anything around in exchange for the convenience!

It's suitable for children who can sit unaided - 16kgs & is safety approved to Australian, US & European standards.
It's fully machine washable & is available in green, red & bright stripes.
You can find it online for $39.95 from Haggus and Stookles

Also available from Haggus and Stookles are these nifty little pieces..
The OnTray Trolley Snack Tray - clicks on to trolley handle & has a slide off lid: $12.99, Munchee Mug Snack Cup - stops snack spills (sultanas! argh!) as the lid is only open when the child's hand is inside: $12.95,  Baby U Juice Box Buddies - stops little ones squeezing juice boxes everywhere: $6.95

All 3 are BPA free & available in a range of colours.
We were given the Munchee Mug & both Master C & I love it. I'm particularly happy to not be wasting so much time crawling around on my hands & knees on the hunt for escapee snacks!

#50 Stokke Tripp Trapp Newborn

I already liked the Stokke 'Tripp Trapp' highchair, aesthetically I love the design & practically, I also love the design!
As I have said before, I'm all for longer lasting children's products & as this will both accommodate & last into adulthood it is a perfect example of that.
The Stokke also has plenty of options to make it your own. You can choose from 12 different chair finishes - whitewash, 3 wood stain, 3 shades & 5 brights, 11 different seat moldings & 10 cushioned inserts.

Last weekend I was in a children's store & saw the latest edition to the Tripp Trapp range & yes, I realise I'm late in coming to this party. The newborn attachment!

I think this is fantastic idea & I'm wondering why there wasn't already similar options on the market & if there are, where they are hiding?
It make such a lot of sense to be able to have your baby up off the floor where A. You can easily see them while you cook, do dishes, sit at the table etc and more importantly B. They can easily see you & watch what's going on!
I also think that it's comforting to be able to have them up off the floor (as they would be in a bouncer etc) out of the way of pets & overenthusiastic siblings without taking that interaction entirely away from them.
The capsule can also be detached & sat on any flat surface so you can easily use it as a little seat, it has a 5 point harness & comes with a detachable toy hanger.
There are also 3 easily removable, washable, reversible textile sets available, with a seat cover, shoulder pads & a bib. They are 100% cotton & come in green polka dots, blue polka dots & purple polka dots with classic white reverse.

Brilliant.
I think I'm going to have to start saving my pennies...

# 2 Danish Delights

Before my son was born I fell ridiculously in love with the Leander bed by Danish Design.
And really, when you see this, who can blame me?

The smooth clean lines are to die for, and the curves seem almost to embrace.
It transitions through 5 stages up to a junior bed which remains as aesthetically pleasing and as practical as the initial cot.
And with a choice of 3 finishes there is an option to suit every nursery decor.

Unfortunately, I didn't end up getting the beautiful Leander for the my darling boy, but I certainly hope to for the next bundle to come our way!

The fact that we don't yet own that marvellous piece of furniture has done nothing to subdue my Danish Design mania, I have since fallen in lust with both the Leander Chair and the Nathi Change Table.
Both stunning to look at, and they both have so many fantastic options and inclusions...
The Leander chair adjusts in stages to become an adult chair!

I love good design.
Could I gush much more do you suppose?!
